Acceptable to the State of New York, Dept. of State, Div. of Cemeteries as being in conformance with the requirements of the Law
For the mutual protection of lot owners and the Cemetery as a whole, the following Rules and Regulations have been adopted by the Cemetery Association Board of Trustees as the Rules and Regulations for Lake View Cemetery, 3967 Lake Road Williamson, NY 14589. All lot owners, visitors and cemetery vendors, and all lots sold shall be subject to said Rules and Regulations that may be adopted from time to time as may be deemed necessary by the Lake View Cemetery Assoc. Inc., Board of Trustees.
The Cemetery Superintendent and the Grounds Committee of Lake View Cemetery are hereby empowered to enforce all ordinances, rules and regulations regarding cemetery function and operation, and to exclude from Lake View Cemetery any person violating the same. The Grounds Committee shall have charge of the grounds and buildings including the conduct of funerals, traffic, employees, plot owners and visitors and at all times shall have supervision and control of all persons in Lake View Cemetery.
All lots in the Cemetery are sold in accordance with the provisions of the laws of the State of New York and shall not be used for any other purposes than as a burial place for dead human beings.
The word Cemetery shall mean Lake View Cemetery Association, Inc.
INTERMENTS

Concrete vaults or concrete liners will be required for interments in all graves purchase on or after September 1, 1998, in accordance with the provisions of Cemetery Board Directive 201.6. In the case of a child under one year of age a plastic vault is allowed

Each grave site is limited to:
-
1) one burial vault and one cremation
-
2) or two cremations
-
-
Ashes from cremations require a suitable permanent container
LOTS
-
The lot salesperson as designated by the Lake View Cemetery Association is responsible for the original sale of graves and/or lots.

The purchase of a Cemetery lot/lots includes Permanent maintenance which involves normal mowing, seeding and routine care.

The permission of a grave lot owner to anyone other than a family member to use a grave within a specific lot should have a letter stating so on file with the Cemetery Superintendent or Cemetery Secretary

The private resale of lots is strictly prohibited

Under unusual circumstances, the Cemetery Board of Trustees may recommend the repurchase of graves/lots for the original purchase price. The Cemetery is under no obligation to repurchase any grave or lot for any reason whatsoever.

The full purchase price must be paid before a deed will be given

The Cemetery Superintendent is the only individual authorized to coordinate burials. No burials are allowed by anyone other than the Cemetery Superintendent.
MONUMENTS/FOUNDATIONS/ COLUMBARIUM

Monuments, memorials and markers must be made of granite, or standard bronze. No Lithochrom on monuments.

The width of the monument is governed by the width of the lot. The width of the memorial shall not exceed 50% of the average width of the lot.

Monuments, memorials or markers must be delivered to the designated site and set in place by the dealer. No trucks will be allowed off of the driveway while delivering monuments or vaults for any reason. The dealer is responsible for all damages to lots or property.

When columbariums are used, the cemetery superintendent must be present anytime the columbarium is opened or sealed. Prior arrangements must be made with the superintendent for the opening or sealing. The cemetery superintendent does not take any responsibility for the opening or sealing of the columbarium.

Deliveries and settings must be scheduled between April 1 and December 1.

Only one marker allowed above ground per grave.
DECORATIONS

All winter decorations must be removed no later that April 1. All spring and summer decorations must be removed no later than November 1. All un-removed decorations will be disposed of by the Cemetery Superintendent.

The Cemetery shall not be responsible for damage to or loss of any decoration, pot, urn, or similar item.

Funeral flowers will be removed as soon as they fade, wither, and become unsightly: The Cemetery Superintendent reserves the right to remove funeral flowers.

No glass containers of any kind will be allowed in the Cemetery.

The use of paper-made containers, wire holders for flower pots, wire, plastic trellis, or wooded fences on graves are prohibited. Iron rods and hanging baskets are prohibited.

Placing of crushed stone, wood chips, or shells on graves is strictly prohibited.

Watering can and other utensils cannot be stored adjacent to marker or graves.

Urns should be placed as close as possible to the monument so that they will not interfere with mowing and trimming equipment.

No more than one 8” or larger urn or pot will be allowed on a grave site.
-
No temporary crosses, statues, votive lights, toys, painted rocks, novelties or any other objects are permitted.
PLANTS AND FLOWERS

No planting of any kind will be allowed in the Cemetery.

No shrubs, bushes, or trees may be planted on lots or graves. Donations of plants, shrubs, bushes or trees acceptable. Please contact the Grounds Committee to arrange any donations.

The Cemetery has the right to remove anything planted without prior written permission.
GENERAL RULES AND REGULATIONS

Automobiles must keep on roads at all times. No driving is allowed on any sections or over lots or lawn under any pretense whatsoever. This includes all monument and/or vault trucks.

Please do not leave vehicles unattended. Cemetery staff needs access at all times.

The Cemetery disclaims all responsibility for Cemetery losses or damages from causes beyond its reasonable control, and especially from damage by an act of God, the elements, earthquakes, thieves, vandals, malicious mischief-makers, explosion, unavoidable accidents or any cause similar or dissimilar beyond control of the management, whether the damage be direct or collateral.

For information regarding the Rules and Regulations of the Cemetery it is advisable for the parties directly concerned to obtain such information from the Cemetery Superintendent or the Cemetery Grounds Committee.
